‘Jawan’: Anupam Kher gives a shoutout to Shah Rukh Khan; shares that he whistled at one or two places

Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Jawan’, directed by Atlee, is doing wonders at the box office. The action thriller has not only recorded a massive opening day collection but also registered the highest single-day collection on September 10.

Now, Anupam Kher has joined the bandwagon of stars to congratulate King Khan.

The veteran actor took to Instagram and shared a picture of himself with Shah Rukh Khan. Along with the picture, he penned an appreciation post that read, ‘My dear Shahrukh ! Just now I have left Amritsar to watch your film “Jawan" with audiences. Enjoyed it. Action, picture scale, your style and performance is very good. I even whistler at one or two places! Loved everyone in the film! Congratulations to the entire team and especially to the writer/director @director.atlee ! I will come back to Mumbai and hug you - O Pochi, O Koki, O Poppy, O Lola!! @iamsrk.’

In the picture, ‘The Kashmir Files’ actor is seen dressed in a red ethnic kurta, while King Khan flaunted a stylish black and white kurta.

‘Jawan’ also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Deepika Padukone has a special appearance in the movie.

Recently, Atlee and his team organised a special screening of the film for the Indian Army. The screening was held in Mumbai on September 10.

‘Jawan’ has surpassed the Rs 300 crore milestone in just three days. The film has made Rs 384.69 crore at the global box office.

‘Jawan’ is about a commando-turned-vigilante who enlists the support of a group of ladies to right society’s wrongs. The movie addresses themes such as government apathy, corruption, farmer suicide, a failing healthcare system, faulty army weapons, and dangerous factories located near civilian areas.
