‘Jawan’ fever takes over Times Square: Teaser of Shah Rukh Khan starrer plays on billboard

Shah Rukh Khan’s much-anticipated film ‘Jawan’ is all set to release in theatres worldwide on September 7 and fans of the superstar are ensuring that the film’s release is nothing less than a celebration.

A video from New York has now surfaced online which revealed that a fan booked a billboard in the famous Times Square to play the ‘Jawan’ teaser. It was watched by many gathered at the venue.

‘Jawan’ has been directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The film will be released worldwide in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages

Besides Shah Rukh Khan, the action thriller also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi. Deepika Padukone appears in a special appearance.

The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover and Mukesh Chhabra.

As per industry tracker Sacnilk, a total of 5,77,255 tickets have been sold for ‘Jawan’. In the Hindi market, 5,29,568 tickets have been sold in the 2D format and 11,558 have paid for the IMAX tickets.

The Tamil and Telugu markets have sold 19,899 and 16,230 tickets respectively.

According to reports, tier-2 cities and single-screen theatres have had to add morning 6am shows to accommodate enthusiastic fans.
