‘Jawan’s first track ‘Zinda Banda’ out: Shah Rukh Khan dances his heart out in this foot-tapping number

The first song from Shah Rukh Khan’s highly-anticipated film ‘Jawan’ has been released. Titled, ‘Zinda Banda’, the foot-tapping number is sung and composed by Anirudh Ravichander. The lyrics have been written by Irshad Kamil.

Sharing the music video, SRK thanked Wasim Barelvi for letting them use this beautiful couplet with a minor change.

He wrote, ‘When principles are at stake, one must fight, This battle is what makes you alive ! I thank Wasim Barelvi sahab with all my heart for letting us use this beautiful couplet with a minor change. The song is written by Irshad Kamil Sir, and the music is by my dear friend Anirudh. Presenting, Zinda Banda!’

Besides Hindi, the song has also been unveiled in Tamil and Telugu languages, titled ‘Vandha Edam’ and ‘Dhumme Dhulipelaa’, respectively.

‘Jawan’ marks the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and filmmaker Atlee, renowned for his Tamil hits like ‘Their’, ‘Mersal’, and ‘Bigil’.

The action thriller boasts an ensemble cast, led by Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover, among others.

The movie also features a special cameo appearance by Deepika Padukone.

‘Jawan’ will release in the theatres on September 7.
