'Kalki 2898 AD': Prabhas and Deepika Padukone starrer to now release in June, check out new poster

'Kalki 2898 AD', starring Prabhas in the lead role, finally has a new release date. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin, is set to win over audiences worldwide on June 27, 2024. With the biggest casting coup, including the stalwarts of the Indian film industry such as Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles, the film has garnered immense attention and kept fans eagerly awaiting its release. It was earlier scheduled to be released on May 9. 


'Kalki 2898 AD' release date out! 

'Kalki 2898 AD' is releasing in theatres near you on June 27, 2024. The announcement, made on Saturday, precisely two months ahead of the release date, has only added to the excitement surrounding the magnum opus. Taking to social media, the makers also unveiled a fresh poster featuring Prabhas, Deepika, and Amitabh. The new poster showed the trio sporting a grim look as they stood against a deserted background. The caption read, “All the forces come together for a better tomorrow on 𝟐𝟕-𝟎𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒.”

Last week, the makers shared a brand new teaser to share an intriguing glimpse into Amitabh's character as the immortal Ashwatthama. The makers had unveiled a new poster on Maha Shivaratri, revealing Prabhas will star as Bhairava in the film.

At the Synapse 2024 event in Gurgaon, Nag Ashwin shares some insight into the film’s name. He said, ‘The film starts with Mahabharat and ends in 2898 AD. It spans 6,000 years in time. We tried to create worlds, imagining what they would be like while still keeping it Indian and not making it look like Blade Runner.’

Backed by Aswini Dutt, 'Kalki 2898 AD' will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
