Actor Kangana Ranaut hails Telsa CEO Elon Musk as he takes charge of micro-blogging platform Twitter. She took to her Instagram Stories and re-shared a fan's post in which he asked Elon Musk to restore her account, which had been 'permanently suspended for repeated violation of Twitter rules’

The Twitter user, who goes by the username moron_humor, posted screenshots of Donald Trump's statement and Kangana's blocked account. The person captioned the post, ‘In the spirit of 'Freedom of Speech'.. Hope you restore @KanganaTeam as well @elonmusk..’

Kangana also shared a screengrab of a news article along with several clapping hand emojis. The headline of the news article read, 'Elon Musk takes charge of Twitter, fires CEO Parag Agrawal, other top executives: Report'.

A few days earlier, Kangana had defended Elon’s response to Kanye West's tweet.

She had shared a post by Vanity Fair about an article on Elon with the headline ‘Get ready for Elon Musk to turn Twitter into a right-wing cesspool’.

She wrote that Elon is woke’s new target and they can’t stand anyone, who can think for him or herself, basically, who is self-made, fiery, intelligent and above all sane.

Kangana's Twitter account was permanently suspended in May last year. A Twitter spokesperson said, ‘We’ve been clear that we will take strong enforcement action on behaviour that has the potential to lead to offline harm. The referenced account has been permanently suspended for repeated violations of Twitter Rules specifically our Hateful Conduct policy and Abusive Behaviour policy. We enforce the Twitter Rules judiciously and impartially for everyone on our service.’

On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is working on her period drama directorial ‘Emergency’ in which she will portray the role of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The actor will also play the role of Bengali theatre legend Binodini Dasi, better known as Noti Binodini, in Pradeep Sarkar's film.
