Bollywood actor and political figure Kangana Ranaut has shared her stance on the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
In an Instagram Story on November 5, she voiced her support for Donald Trump, stating that if she were an American citizen, she would vote for him.
Her endorsement came with a bold comment referencing Trump’s resilience during a July 2023 rally, when he was shot at but continued speaking without missing a beat.
Kangana shared a photo from the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where Trump survived the assassination attempt, calling him a ‘total killer.’ She admired how Trump ‘dodged the bullet,’ got back up, and carried on his speech.
The actor, known for her strong political opinions, praised Trump for his toughness, writing, ‘If I were American, I would vote for the one who got shot, dodged it, got up and continued his speech.’

Back in July, Kangana had also expressed admiration for Trump’s quick recovery from the attack. She criticized his political opponents, accusing the U.S. left of being ‘desperate’ and taking drastic measures. Reflecting on the incident, she wrote, ‘For America, he took a bullet on his chest… Left’s main dissent with the right is violent.’
Kangana’s perspective stirred conversation, particularly among her followers, where she also referenced the ideological clash between the left and the right in the U.S. political sphere.
As voting for the U.S. 2024 elections has ended, the results are yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, Kangana is busy with the promotion of her upcoming film ‘Emergency’, where she plays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, a role that has further amplified her political visibility.
Despite her divisive nature, Kangana’s career is marked by her resilience, from overcoming early career struggles to becoming one of Bollywood's most recognized stars. Her mix of talent, fearlessness, and bold political stances continues to make her a subject of intense media scrutiny and public debate.
