Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut has taken to her Instagram stories to pen a long note on the recent developments after she was allegedly slapped by a woman constable. While many are defending the cop, Kangana wrote in her note, “Every rapist, murderer, or thief always have a strong emotional, physical, psychological or financial reason to commit a crime, no crime ever happens without a reason, yet they are convicted and sentenced to jail.”

She went on to question the people backing the accused. “If you are aligned with the criminals strong emotional impulse to commit a crime violating all laws of the land. Remember if you are ok with breaking in to someone’s intimate zone touching their body and assaulting them then deep down you are ok with rape or murder also because that’s also just penetration or stab only what big deal you just need some vague emotional urge, you must look deeper in to your psychological criminal tendencies, its alarming must take up meditation and yoga,” she wrote.

Shabana Azmi, Anupam Kher, Mika and more express support

Earlier, several celebs including Shabana Azmi came out in support of actor-politician Kangana Ranaut. In a post on X, Azmi wrote, "I have no love lost for Kangana Ranaut. But I can't find myself joining this chorus of celebrating 'the slap'. If security personnel start taking law into their hands, none of us can be safe." Azmi's husband, veteran screenwriter and lyricist Javed Akhtar, has filed a defamation case against Ranaut which is still in court.

Anupam Kher also reacted to the incident and backed Kangana. He said that security officials should not take law into their hands. He slammed the accused and expressed solidarity with Ranaut.

Singer Mika Singh also condemned the act by CISF constable. He wrote, “The CISF constable was on duty at the airport and it is her job to ensure the safety of people around. It is sad that she thought it was okay to assault a passenger at the airport due to her personal anger about another situation.”
