More about Kapil Sharma

Earlier this month, Kapil Sharma celebrated his 43rd birthday. His journey to becoming a household name was marked by winning ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ season 3 in 2007. In 2013, he launched his show, ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil’, which catapulted him to fame. However, his path to success was not easy, as he faced numerous struggles before achieving his current popularity as a comedian.

Interestingly, Kapil Sharma initially traveled to Mumbai with hopes of pursuing a career in music but ended up becoming a comedy star. In an interview with Outlook last year, he mentioned, ‘You can say that comedy happened by chance in my life. I am an accidental comedian. It was destiny that paved the way, and I kept moving forward to carve my identity in the comedy field.’

Kapil Sharma has returned to entertain his audience with a revamped version of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, now titled ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, streaming on Netflix with new episodes every Saturday. He has retained his team from the show and reunited with Sunil Grover. Additionally, Kapil Sharma appeared in the film ‘The Crew’, starring Kareena Kapoor, Tabu, and Kriti Sanon.
