Karan Johar credits Sunny Deol for pioneering the 'Tauba Tauba' hook step; actor responds

Vicky Kaushal’s song ‘Tauba Tauba’ from ‘Bad Newz’ continues to dominate the charts. Recently, Karan Johar shared a viral video of Sunny Deol doing the song's hook step, sparking reactions online. Sunny Deol responded by sharing the video on his Instagram stories, saying, ‘When they say you can’t dance and then you find you did it before anyone else did.’

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal shared how Katrina Kaif, who admires his open dancing style, suggested he ‘practice control.’ 

Vicky Kaushal, in an interview with Film Companion, admitted he heaved a sigh of relief when Katrina Kaif gave her stamp of approval to the track. The actor said, ‘The biggest relief was when she approved of the song. She was like this is good. And I was like shukaar hai (heave a sigh of relief).’

The second single, titled ‘Jaanam’, was also released on July 9. The film will hit theaters on July 19, 2024.

Katrina also showed support for Vicky’s film ‘Bad Newz’. She took to her Instagram story to give a shout-out to the trailer which also has her reference. Reposting the trailer from Vicky’s Instagram account, Katrina wrote, ‘Can’t wait for this. Congratulations.’

She tagged Amritpal Singh Bindra, Karan Johar and Anand Tiwari.

Ananya Panday will reportedly make a cameo as a film star in the movie, with scenes filmed recently at a Juhu hotel, linking her character to Triptii Dimri's chef role.

‘Bad Newz’ depicts a rare case of heteropaternal superfecundation, where two separate eggs are fertilised in the same menstrual cycle of a woman by sperm cells of two different men.

The film also stars Triptii Dimri and Ammy Virk. Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film is co-produced by Anand, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Amritpal Singh Bindra.
