Karan Johar makes two major announcements on his 50th birthday

On his 50th birthday, filmmaker Karan Johar shared a note of 'reflection and one of immense excitement on his Instagram handle. The filmmaker said that his forthcoming film 'Rocky aur Rani ki Prem Kahani,' starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead role, will hit the theatres on February 10, 2023. In his post, Karan also mentioned that he will commence shooting his next, 'Action Film' in April 2023.

Karan said he was 'grateful for the brickbats, the bouquets, the praising souls, the public trolls...ALL OF IT!!' He signed off his post in style, saying 'Juggjug Jeeyo' to all his fans and followers.

The filmmaker will be hosting his milestone 50th birthday, themed 'black and bling,' at Yash Raj Studios.

The directors who have worked under Dharma Productions, superstars Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh will reportedly attend the grand party.

Karan's birthday celebrations began at his residence on Tuesday night (May 24). Gauri Khan, Farah Khan, Ayan Mukerji, Manish Malhotra, Maheep Kapoor, Apoorva Mehta, and Seema Kiran Sajdeh were among those who attended the get-together.
