Filmmaker Karan Johar took to Twitter on Monday and announced that he’s leaving the platform to make space for ‘positive energies’, and this is just one of the many steps he is taking. It is still unclear what prompted his decision to quit.
‘Making space for more positive energies only and this is step one towards that. Goodbye Twitter!’, he tweeted.
Following Karan's tweet, many followers reacted to his message. One user asked him to ‘focus on his mental health and ‘Brahmastra’ part 2, while another tweet read that positive energy and peace is far more important than any social media platform.
A section of Twitter users shared memes about Karan quitting Twitter as well. One also wrote that Karan won't be missed, while another tweeted in Hindi that Karan will delete this account and start using an unknown account.
Karan Johar, who was among the most active celebrities on Twitter, has over 17.2 million followers. He would often interact with fans and also give befitting replies to trolls as well.
On the work front, Karan Johar’s ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, will release in theatres in 2023.
