Karan Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’ will be back in 2025 with a brand new season; Filmmaker shares update

One of the most loved chat show or one can call it the biggest source of Bollywood gossip, ‘Koffee With Karan’ will have a season 9. However, the new season will only happen in 2025. Sharing the updates, Karan Johar also spilled the beans about the changes that he is planning to bring in the new season.

Filmmaker Karan Johar revealed that the season 9 of his chatshow will return with a new concept. In a recent interview, KJo promised his fans that the show will be back with a new format in 2025. Hinting that there might not be a rapid fire round, Johar said that the rapid-fire round in the last season was ‘so boring that I was like snooze alert’. “Main hi hamper ghar le jaata hoon (I’ll only take the hamper home),” he said while saying that he felt that no one really deserved to win it. This has led to the famous director reconsider the format of the show.  

Karan Johar said that he wanted to have all the fun, chattiness, and candor on the show without putting his celeb guests on spot. He shared that people are apprehensive of opening up and don’t speak the way they used to in the past.

The populat chat show made its debut in 2004 and has seen a numerous celebrities being featured. The interviews have seen some of the biggest Bollywood controversies beginning on the couch. The show which has completed eight seasons, is known for its unfiltered, fun and quirky content.

Johar’s Dharma Productions is also associated with projects like ‘Devara: Part 1’ after acquiring the distribution rights.
