The handsome hunk Kartik Aaryan is poised to entice his fans in a brand new avatar in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ alongside the stunning Kiara Advani and the super talented actress Tabu. The film’s trailer promises a perfect blend of horror and humour. The chills and scares, which have been interspersed with oodles of laughter, has simply left the moviegoers intrigued.
While we wait for ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ to release on May 20 this year, let’s take a lookback at Kartik Aaryan's experimentation with different characters since his Bollywood debut.
Pyaar Ka Punchnama
Kartik Aaryan began his acting career about a decade ago as a 21-year-old in Luv Ranjan's ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. He was paired alongside Divyenndu, Nushrratt Bharuccha, Sonnalli Seygall, and Ishita Raj. With his straight-faced comedy and the extremely popular monologue in the film, the actor gained enormous notoriety. This new chocolate boy wowed every possible moviegoer (esp. the female clan). The film got so much attention and acclaim that it was followed up with a sequel in 2015.
Love Aaj Kal
‘Love Aaj Kal’ was directed by Imtiaz Ali and starred Kartik Aaryan, Sara Ali Khan, Randeep Hooda, and Arushi Sharma. The chemistry between Sara and Kartik (who were rumoured to be dating at that time), was eagerly awaited by the fans. Kartik played a double role in the film, which revolved around a modern-day couple's conflict between professional ambitions and personal feelings.
Pati Patni Aur Woh
Kartik’s ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ was a remake of the 1978 film of the same name. The Kartik Aaryan starrer also had Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. The comic film, directed by Mudassar Aziz, depicted Kartik juggling between gharwali and baharwali.
Luka Chuppi
This rom-com revolved around the story of a couple who lived together as husband and wife, despite society's opposition. This Laxman Utekar's directorial saw Kartik being paired with Kriti Sanon, in his struggle between love and society's set of conventions.
Dhamaka
Kartik’s role in ‘Dhamaka’ as Arjun Pathak was very different from his previous roles. It was almost as though he stepped out of his comfort zone to test himself. And the actor nailed it and how! He earned acclaim and admiration from everyone alike (again, mostly from his female fans).
After having started his acting career in 2011 as a youngster, the hunky Kartik Aaryan has indeed come a long way. Besides ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’, he has a number of exciting projects lined up including ‘Shehzada’, ‘Freddy’, and ‘Captain India’.
