Salman Khan starrer ‘Kick’ remains one of the most loved films of the actor and fans might get a sequel soon for the action entertainer. If reports are to be believed, the makers are planning ‘Kick 2’ and the film is expected to go on floors in 2025.
According to a recent report, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala is all set to go ahead with the plans for ‘Kick’ sequel. The makers are reportedly aiming to begin the shoot in 2025. However, it will be a little tricky for Sajid to direct the film as he is also overlooking multiple projects under his production house. In fact, Sajid and Salman Khan are already collaborating for Salman’s next ‘Sikandar’. The film is currently in shooting stage and is expected to hit the theatres in 2025. The duo is reportedly discussing ‘Kick 2’ and its story as well.
'Kick’ marked the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala who has also spoken about film’s sequel in the past. ““I launched myself as a director with Kick and that’s my favorite IP. The moment I speak about Kick, I get messages from the industry and even the digital world is flooded with questions on when Kick 2 will go on floors. Now, I promise that there will be an extension to Kick. The subject is there on paper, it’s completely written but needs time. We need a bigger scale and a better time for its release. We need to have cinema consumption back in fashion for us to make Kick. Once we are back to normal, I will be ready to take Kick 2 on floors,” Sajid told Pinkvilla.
Starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles, ‘Kick’ was a block buster in 2014. Nawazuddin Siddiqui played the villain while Randeep Hooda played another key role in the superhit film.
Salman Khan is currently shooting for AR Murugadoss directorial ‘Sikandar’. Rashmika Mandanna is also part of the much-anticipated project. The film is scheduled to release in 2025.
