'Koffee With Karan,' the most-talked-about celebrity chat show, is back.  The first episode of the seventh edition, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, premiered on July 7 on Disney+ Hotstar. Soon after its release, Alia received a lot of criticism online for drawing comparisons to Deepika. The actor claimed that Sanjay Leela Bhansali promised her four projects while Deepika Padukone has worked with him on three.

Let’s take a look at the other celebrities who have landed themselves in trouble after appearing on the show.

Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor

In the third episode of season 3, Deepika Padukone and Sonam Kapoor graced the 'Koffee' couch. On the show, Deepika was asked as to what she would like to gift Ranbir Kapoor. She immediately replied, 'I would like to gift a pack of condoms to Ranbir because he uses them too much.'

It is reported that after the episode aired late Rishi Kapoor called up Karan Johar and gave him a piece of his mind. By his own confession, Karan said that this episode haunted him for many months.

Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul

How can anyone forget this ‘explosive’ episode featuring cricketers Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul?

Hardik was asked about some personal details about his relationships, to which he immediately responded that his family was very open about everything. The cricketer revealed that he informed his parents after having sex for the first time.

He also made various comments about the female body which drew a lot of criticism from the audience.

After the episode aired, Hardik and KL Rahul faced repercussions for their misogynistic remarks and were immediately put on provisional suspension & asked to go back home from Australia.

Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra

No one can forget the episode in which ‘Student of the Year’ debutants Sidharth Malhotra, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan featured.

The trio were quizzed by Karan Johar during the rapid fire round and Alia Bhatt was asked to name the then President of India (answer Pranab Mukherjee). The actor fumbled and said 'Prithviraj Chauhan.'

A galore of memes and videos surfaced online making fun of Alia's intelligence quotient (IQ) post that episode. However, Alia didn't let the criticism bother her and bravely shot a video, titled ‘AIB: Alia Bhatt - Genius of the Year,’ to give it back to those who laughed at her lack of general knowledge.

Salman Khan

Even though the show’s format always has two celebrities on the couch, Salman Khan was a solo celebrity guest. Karan Johar asked the actor if he was a virgin, to which Salman replied, 'Yes.'
Many memes and funny videos were made on his response.

Salman graced the couch again in the 100th episode of 'Koffee with Karan' and KJo didn't hestiate to ask him the same question once again. Salman, in his trademark style, replied that nothing had changed.

Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar

Bollywood's power couple Twinkle Khanna and Akshay Kumar were guests on the show's season 5, episode 2.

When Karan Johar asked Twinkle about the one thing that her husband Akshay had, but the Khans didn’t. Twinkle was quick to respond, 'some extra inches.' She added, 'Don’t look at his crotch. I meant his feet. You always have your mind on other people’s crotches.'
