Aamir Khan is currently busy with the promotions of his upcoming film, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, which is all set to release on August 11. The stars featured in the seventh edition of ‘Koffee with Karan’ last night and had some entertaining conversations with host Karan Johar.
During the show, the filmmaker questioned Aamir if there was a shift that’s happened in Hindi movies in terms of tonality, before criticising the actor for it.
Aamir reacted, ‘No you're wrong. Those were all heartland films. Those movies had emotions. They reach the common man. It's something that you will emotionally connect to. 'Rang De Basanti' is a very emotional film. It touches the people at grassroots.’
‘I am not saying make action films or crude films. Make good films with great stories but choose topics that are relevant to most people.’ He concluded.
After these statements of Aamir Khan, the ongoing debate on the Pan India movies has also become the talk of the town again.
