Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s upcoming film ‘Mister Mummy' has landed in trouble. Kolkata filmmaker Akash Chatterjee has alleged that T-Series lifted his original script and is demanding credit for his story. In his social media post, he also claimed that his script is registered with the Screen Writers' Association.
Akash shared screenshots of his conversation with T-Series on Facebook, and wrote that he had a detailed discussion with T-series in 2020 regarding his film ‘Pet se’ and they had agreed to co-produce it.
‘Later they come up with their sh** version (without any logic) of my film. My Story and concept is registered with SWA, Mumbai. #tseries #CreditDue,’ he wrote. The pictures feature Ayushmann Khurrana in the titular role in ‘Pet Se’.
The post comes hours after T-Series released the first trailer of ‘Mister Mummy’, which shows Riteish as a pregnant man.
Directed by Shaad Ali, ‘Mister Mummy’ also stars Mahesh Manjrekar and Ila Arun in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release in theatres later this year.
