'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai screening': Karan Johar, SRK and Rani Mukerji pay surprise visit at theatre | watch

'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' has been re-released in theatres as it clocks 25 years since its release. Karan Johar's directorial debut starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, and Rani Mukerji is a fan-favorite to date.

Now, a video of KJo, SRK, and Rani paying a surprise visit to a theatre in Mumbai is going viral.

In videos shared from the screening, SRK and Rani congratulated Karan on completing 25 years as a director and shared their fond memories from the film’s shoot.

Shah Rukh also said he missed Kajol on the special occasion and expressed his gratitude to Salman Khan for being a part of the film.

Rani thanked fans for showering love on ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ for 25 years. She also blew kisses at fans present at the screening and expressed her gratitude.

Praising SRK, KJo said, ‘I won’t be here if it wasn’t for bhai, if it wasn’t for Aditya Chopra. He is the emperor of entertainment and the king of romance, the template that is set, the way he opens his arms wide and expresses his love. His energy is infectious. So, thank you for being you, and thank you for allowing me to have this career’.

Dharma Productions’ official Instagram handle shared a picture of the trio posing with posters of the film installed at the theatre. They wrote, ‘Bohot kuch hota hai seeing them all in one frame! Missing our Anjali the most today! The celebration of pyaar & dosti just got BIGGER & GRANDER for #25YearsOfKuchKuchHotaHai.’

For the special screening, Rani was seen in a white saree with a black border, while SRK looked dapper in a black formal suit. Karan complimented the duo in black formals.

As 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' completes 25 years, Dharma Productions' social media handle shared the news that the film's tickets are being sold at a PVR INOX theatre in Mumbai. These tickets are priced at just Rs 25. They have now all been sold out.

'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' will be shown on three screens in Mumbai.

‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ was released on October 16, 1998. The film marked Karan Johar’s directorial debut and was a blockbuster.
