'Laal Singh Chaddha', starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, was a major disappointment at the box office. The film faced major flak from the audience ahead of its theatrical release due to Aamir’s ‘growing intolerance’ statement. The film started streaming on OTT platform Nextflix on October 6, two months after its theatrical release, and it is doing well. The Advait Chandan-directorial came second on the global non-English movies chart, with 6.6 million hours viewership.

According to a release from Netflix, the film is among the top 10 in 13 countries, which includes countries like Mauritius, Bangladesh, Singapore, Oman, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Malaysia and UAE. The first position on the global chart was acquired by the Nigerian film 'Aníkúlápó', which released one week prior to 'Laal Singh Chaddha' on Netflix.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is an official remake of Hollywood film 'Forrest Gump', which starred Tom Hanks in the lead role.  The film also starred Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya and Manav Vij in pivotal roles. It released in theatres on August 11.
