'Laal Singh Chaddha', starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, has been making headlines over the last few weeks over boycott call on social media. Now, a PIL has reportedly been filed against the film in Kolkata High Court.
According to India Today, a PIL has been filed calling for a complete ban on the film in West Bengal citing peace disorder. It stated that the matter will be in court on August 23.
As per the report, there is a demand for a police officer to be posted outside every theatre if a ban isn't imposed. Advocate Nazia Elahi Khan had said that the content of the film can disturb peace and order in Bengal as the Army hasn't been represented properly.
'Laal Singh Chaddha', which released in theares on August 11, failed to perform well domestically but it has reportedly done great business overseas. According to Bollywood Hungama, it is the highest grossing movie internationally, surpassing the business of 'The Kashmir Files', 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' and 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2'.
