‘Laapataa Ladies’: Sunny Deol, Kajol, Karan Johar attend screening of Kiran Rao’s film

Kiran Rao’s film ‘Laapataa Ladies’ is all set to hit the theatres on March 1 and ahead of its theatrical release a special screening was held in Mumbai on February 27. Numerous celebrities, such as Sunny Deol, Salman Khan, Kajol, and Karan Johar graced the event. Also in attendance were Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan and her husband, Nupur Shikhare, along with Konkona Sensharma, Kabir Khan, Mini Mathur, Ali Fazal, and Sayani Gupta.

For the screening, Aamir sported a black kurta paired with a matching jacket and pants, while Kiran donned a mustard saree with a silver blouse.

Sunny Deol chose a black shirt beneath a dark grey jacket, paired with trousers. Salman Khan opted for a black T-shirt layered under a shirt and denim jeans. Kajol rocked a green ensemble accessorized with a black belt, heels, and sunglasses.

Aamir’s ‘3 Idiots’ co-star Sharman Joshi was spotted in a black T-shirt paired with denims, while Karan Johar chose a black jacket and trousers ensemble.

Ira Khan stunned in a pink saree, while Nupur donned a navy blue T-shirt with beige pants. Konkona wore a black top beneath a dark blue jacket and matching pants.

In a video, Karan was captured embracing Kiran at the event, where all attendees smiled and posed for the paparazzi. Additionally, the cast of ‘Laapataa Ladies’, along with Aamir and Kiran, posed for the camera.

About ‘Laapataa Ladies’

Directed by Kiran, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ has been chosen as the opening film for the second edition of the IFFM Summer Festival. The Australian premiere of the film is scheduled for February 29 at the festival, preceding its release on March 1, 2024, according to news agency ANI. Set in rural India in 2001, the film narrates the story of two young brides who become separated during a train journey, and the subsequent investigation led by Kishan, a police officer.

Produced under the banners of Aamir Khan Productions and Kindling Productions, the film's script is penned by Biplab Goswami, with Sneha Desai handling the screenplay and dialogue, and Divyanidhi Sharma contributing additional lines. The cast includes Ravi Kishan, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, and Nitanshi Goel.
