Lata Mangeshkar demise: Amul pays tribute to 'melody queen' with a monochrome doodle

Amul has paid tribute to the Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar who touched millions of hearts across the country. They shared a monochromatic doodle on their social media handles and captioned it, 'Tribute to the ‘Nightingale of India’!
  
In the doodle, one can see Lata Mangeshkar's sketched figures from different phases of her life. In one, she is seen singing with a mic stand. In another, she has a veena in her hands. In the third, a young Lata could be seen in a framed picture.

The picture also includes a tagline that reads, "Hum jahan jahan chalenge aapka saaya saath hoga,". The line is in reference to one of her evergreen songs 'Tu Jahan Jahan Chalega Mera Saaya Saath Hoga' from the 1966 cult classic 'Mera Saaya'.
 
Lata Mangeshkar passed away at 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on February 6. She was cremated with full state honours at the Shivaji Park.
