Vijay Devarakonda has been making headlines with his recent Pan-India movie ‘Liger’, co-starring Ananya Pandey, which was released on August 25. Recently, the executive director of Gaiety Galaxy and Maratha Mandir Cinema Manoj Desai slammed the actor, labeling him as ‘arrogant’ for his comment on the ongoing boycott trend. Vijay Deverakonda took note of his complaint and met Mr. Desai in Mumbai.
Pictures from their meeting are doing the rounds on the internet. In one of them, Vijay is seen touching the Maratha Mandir owner’s feet.
Desai was all praise for Vijay Deverakonda and he stated that the actor is a ‘really very nice guy, down to earth’. He further mentioned that Vijay has got a bright future and he promised to hereby take all his pictures.

Ahead of the release of ‘Liger’, Deverakonda had said that he doesn’t fear the boycott trend as he has his mother’s blessings, people’s love, God’s support. He said and I quote, ‘We will see who will stop us.’
‘As per reviews, the content of the film is also weak. As actors are doing well on OTT, they are not thinking about theatres,’ he told Hindustan Times.
