Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia D'Souza cast votes; latter emphasizes its importance

Star couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza were spotted at a polling booth in Latur, Maharashtra, casting their votes for the ongoing Lok Sabha Elections 2024. 

The third phase of polling covers 94 constituencies across 10 states and one Union Territory. 

Riteish wore a white kurta for the outing, while Genelia looked stunning in a yellow saree. 

They queued up like everyone else, emphasizing the importance of voting. 

Speaking to ANI, Genelia urged all citizens to vote, stating everyone must participate in the democratic process.

‘This is an important day. Voting is important. Every citizen must go and vote. I think this is very important,’ she said. 

Riteish added, ‘I came to Latur from Mumbai to cast my vote. Everyone should come out of their houses and cast votes. Today is an important day. Everyone should definitely vote.’

Riteish and Genelia got married on February 3, 2012. They welcomed their first son, Riaan, in November 2014, followed by their second son, Rahyl, in June 2016.

Genelia and Riteish recently offered prayers at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya with their son. Their pictures from the visit went viral on the internet.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Riteish Deshmukh is best known for films including ‘Ek Villain’, ‘Housefull 2’, and ‘Bluffmaster’. He was last seen in a Marathi film titled ‘Ved’. The actor has a few films in the pipeline including ‘Housefull 5’, ‘Dimakhilal’, ‘Masti 4’, ‘Visfot’, ‘Kakuda’, ‘100%’ and ‘Raja Shivaji’ to name a few.

Riteish has also joined the cast of Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid’ sequel, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta. Produced by T-Series and Panorama Studios, the film is currently in production and extensively shot in Mumbai, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan. It is slated for release on November 15 this year.

Genelia Deshmukh is gearing up to star in Aamir Khan's much-awaited film Sitaare Zameen Par. While her role details remain undisclosed, reports indicate a possible Christmas release for the movie.
