Two days after the shocking incident of firing outside actor Salman Khan's residence in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has met the actor. Chief Minister Shinde reached Salman’s Bandra residence this afternoon.
CM Shinde was welcomed by the actor and his family at the actor's residence. Bollywood superstar and his family were seen greeting the chief minister and having a conversation. After the meeting, CM Shinde spoke to the media and said that he has given assurance to Salman Khan and his family that full security will be provided to them. The Chief Minister also promised that the govt will wipe off the gang behind the act.
Earlier, the Maharashtra Chief Minister had dialled the actor on the day when two bike-borne gunmen fired shots outside his Galaxy Apartments. CM had assured the actor of safety and also increased the actor’s security.
This is also Salman Khan's first public appearance since the firing incident as he was clicked with the chief minister. The actor was last seen on Eid when he came out to his balcony to wish hundreds of fans gathered outside his residence.
Chief Minister's visit comes a day after Salman’s brother expressed that the family is taken aback by the incident. Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan shared a post on Instagram on Monday where he said that the incident was 'very disturbing and unnerving'. He said that the entire family has been taken aback by this shocking incident. He also clarified the reports claiming that the family is unaffected by the incident, denying any such statements being made by the family.
