'Maine Payal Hai...' remix: Falguni Pathak upset; Neha Kakkar addresses backlash

Falguni Pathak is upset with Neha Kakkar’s latest music video ‘O Sajna’, which is a recreation of her iconic 1999 song ‘Maine Payal Hai Chhankai’. The singer recently reshared a couple of Instagram stories of fans slamming Neha’s remix version of the song.

Now, in an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, Falguni opened up about her views on ‘O Sajna’.
‘I feel overwhelmed and touched on receiving so much love from all over for the song, so had to share their feelings,’ Falguni told the publication.She also revealed that the makers of ‘O Sajna’ did not approach her before releasing the song.

Falguni was also questioned about re-sharing a story by her fan that asked her to sue Neha. To this, she said, ‘I wish I could but the rights are not with me.When asked if the makers or Neha Kakkar tried to contact her after seeing her disappointment about the remixed version on Instagram, she simply replied, ‘No.’

On Saturday, Neha Kakkar addressed the backlash she has been facing over ‘O Sajna’ on Instagram and wrote that she feels sorry for those who are unhappy to see her happy and successful. She added that if talking ill makes her haters feel good, she won’t bother with them.
