After the massive success of Vikash Bahl’s supernatural hostage mystery thriller ‘Shaitaan’, Ajay Devgn is back in ‘Maidaan’. As the countdown begins for the release of Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Maidaan’, the makers have raised the anticipation and treated actor’s fans on his 55th birthday with the release of final trailer of the film.
In a brand-new avatar, Devgn will be seen in the role of a football coach. The final trailer gives further glimpse into the world of coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is hell bent on putting Indian football on world map. We see Ajay’s character clashing with Gajraj Rao’s character as he picks a young team of footballers from across the country. Ajay plays a high-spirited coach who not only leads his team in the game but also stands like a roack when they face boos of the crowd in stadium and a mob charging towards them.
Sharing the final trailer of the film, Devgn wrote in the caption, “Dil EK, Samaj EK, Soch EK! Witness the untold true story of S.A. Rahim and his #TeamIndia, aajao #Maidaan mein, in Cinemas 10th April!”
The biopic sports drama is based on the life of football coach Syed Abdul Rahim. Besides Ajay Devgn, the film also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao in significant roles. Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma and produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla, ‘Maidaan’ will hit the theatres on Eid. The film will clash with Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ at the box office.
Ajay Devgn’s last release ‘Shaitaan’ is the second highest earning Bollywood film of the 2024. Besides ‘Maidaan’, he also has ‘Singham’, ‘Raid 2’ and ‘Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha’ in the pipeline.
