The first trailer of Rani Mukerji’s upcoming drama ‘Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway’ has been shared by Zee Studios. The film narrates the story of a Bengali woman, who resides in Norway with her husband and two children and shows how she fights a nation after her children are snatched away from her by child protective services.

The trailer begins by showing a perfect picture of Mrs Chatterjee's life in Norway with her family. However, one fateful day, her kids Shom and Shuchi are snatched away by two women. She later learns that the kids have been taken away from her by the government as they feel the Chatterjees have been unable to adequately care for the kids.

Mrs Chatterjee refuses to give up. She moves courts in Norway and in India to fight for her rights and her children.

Sharing the trailer, filmmaker Karan Johar wrote, ‘I have had the privilege of seeing this heartbreaking and massively courageous film…Hand on heart this is Rani Mukerji’s best performance till date … to say that she is absolutely outstanding is still not completely describing her portrayal of an anguished and distraught mother …. I don’t think there is a single parent in this world that will not be hugely affected and then vindicated in the viewing of this brilliant film… bravo to @emmayentertainment for producing their best and bravest film so far ( props to Greenlawans high school #iykyk) and the director @ashhimachibber for her excellence in directing this film with such nuance! Yeh sirf trailer hai! Picture abhi baki hai… in cinemas 17th March 2023!!’

'Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway', directed by Ashima Chibber, is inspired by true events. Produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment, the film is shot extensively in Estonia and in some parts of India. It will release in theatres on March 17.
