Mumtaz attends Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam’s 43rd wedding anniversary; see photo

Actor-turned-politician Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam celebrated their 43rd wedding anniversary on July 9. They hosted a get-together at their Mumbai residence which was attended by veteran actor Mumtaz and television presenter-producer Siddharth Kak.

Shatrughan posted heartwarming pictures from the celebration on social media and shared that besides celebrating their wedding anniversary, they also cherished the memory of the late actor Sanjeev Kumar, whose birth anniversary coincided with the special day.

Shatrughan Sinha and Sanjeev Kumar starred in several films together, including ‘Be-Rehem’, ‘Bad Aur Badnam’, ‘Raahee’, and ‘Rivaaj’.

Shatrughan tweeted, ‘Just a couple of days back was a family get together with many close friends, Superstar, most desirable, famous actress par excellence, a very dear friend, Lady #Mumtaz talented Indian television producer, presenter, ‘Surbhi’ fame, a great intellectual #Siddharth Kak so called ‘tycoon’ Surinder Kikku Wadhwani, distinguished guests & elites.

All collected together to remember & wish friend, philosopher, guide, great actor, fine human being in true sense late & great our loving ‘Hari Bhai’ #SanjeevKumar & also celebrate our anniversary along with my elder brother Dr. Lakshman Sinha, his gracious wife Mrs Geeta Sinha & our children. My bestest half @PoonamSinha played the perfect hostess as usual. A memorable & refreshing evening. #Celebrations.’

Shatrughan and Poonam first met on a train while the actor was en route to Mumbai to pursue his acting career. Over the years, they stayed in touch. Despite a brief three-year separation, their love stayed strong and they decided to tie the knot on July 9, 1980.
