National Film Award 2023: Ranbir Kapoor proudly films Alia Bhatt as she accepts award; see pics

Actor Alia Bhatt accepted the National Award for Best Actress in New Delhi on October 17 and her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, who accompanied her at the event was brimming with joy.

As Alia walked up on stage, Ranbir was seen proudly filming her memorable moment.
Alia won the Best Actress award for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, sharing the honour with Kriti Sanon for ‘Mimi’.

Alia Bhatt accepted a medal and a certificate from the President of India, Droupadi Murmu. The video of Ranbir recording Alia and her accepting her award has now gone viral.

The 69th National Film Awards ceremony took place on Tuesday in New Delhi.

Earlier in the day, Alia Bhatt walked on the red carpet of the event with Ranbir Kapoor by her side. During Alia’s interview, Ranbir slowly moved away from the frame, letting his wife be in the spotlight.

Speaking with the host, Alia said, ‘There is a lot of gratitude in my heart to get the opportunity to portray such beautiful character, so wonderfully imagined by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I am really missing him today. He is a person I have always looked up to and I will never stop thanking him for what he has given me.’

The National Award winners were announced in August
At the time, Alia shared a picture in which she recreated her Gangubai pose and wrote. ‘To Sanjay Sir.. To the entire crew.. To my family.. To my team & last but most definitely not the least. To my audience..   This national award is yours .. because without you ALL none of this would be possible.. seriously!!! I am SO grateful .. I do not take moments like these lightly..
