Neha Dhupia has been a familiar face in the entertainment industry for many years, navigating her share of challenges along the way. In a recent interview, she provided insights into the current dynamics of the industry, revealing that unexpected avenues often bring her opportunities. Despite debuting in 2003, Neha finds herself receiving more work from the South Indian film industry than from Bollywood.

Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Neha reflected on her career journey, stating, 'I have been struggling for 22 years to associate myself with interesting pieces of cinema. Sometimes they do well at the box office, sometimes they find a smaller audience. 'I have done Ek Chalis Ki Last Local, Mithya, A Thursday, and more so it is great that people come to me and say, 'this is great, we liked you in this’. So It is very important to put your work out.'

She disclosed 'I got two offers back to back from down South, but I can’t recall the last time I received a Hindi film offer'. Neha added, 'But when was the last time I got a Hindi film offer, I don’t even remember. I don’t know why my phone doesn’t ring that often.'

Discussing the industry's challenges, Neha emphasised the mutual struggles faced by both actors and filmmakers. 'The industry is going through a really hard time so if I will go to knock on doors, which I always do and I feel there is nothing wrong in going out there and asking for work because you are not doing anything wrong,' she explained. 'Films have to be made apart from the script, the bigger script is the excel sheet of the money and that mathematics is not working out, so who do you actually go to?'

Neha Dhupia, last seen in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk, expressed her enjoyment working on the film, sharing a behind-the-scenes clip on Instagram with her co-stars and joking about the fun they had. The film, released on July 19, revolves around Triptii Dimri’s character discovering she is carrying a child from two separate fathers, which has intrigued audiences. It has garnered approximately Rs 29 crore at the box office.
