The latest song from Salman Khan's new film 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' is drawing a lot of flak for what is being called ignorance of south Indian cultures. Netizens from the southern part of India have expressed strong opposition after a 'veshti' was referred to as a 'lungi' in the song 'Yentamma'.
The song features Salman Khan and Telegu superstars Venkatesh and Ram Charan wearing a 'veshti' which is a formal attire but the lyrics of the song refer to it as a 'lungi', a casual wear.
Prashanth Ranagswamy, a well-known Tamil critic, took to Twitter to express his disappointment with the lungi step. He wrote, 'What kind of step is this?" he wrote. 'They're calling Veshti a lungi...and doing some weird move with their hands inside it. Worst '
'Someone should seriously educate Bollywood about the difference between Lungi and veshti," wrote another. Veshti is a type of traditional attire. It's extremely irritating to see such vulgar dance moves in traditional attire.'
Composed by Payal Dev 'Yentamma', has been sung by Vishal Dadlani and Payal. The movie is scheduled to released on Eid.
