Filmmaker Boney Kapoor and actor Anil Kapoor have been making headlines over their reported rift. The speculations began when Boney, the producer of the ‘No Entry’ franchise, revealed that Anil is no longer speaking to him. The reason behind this is the confirmation of ‘No Entry 2’ with a new cast, including Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Arjun Kapoor.

Meanwhile, filmmaker Anees Bazmee, who is directing the sequel, is surprised by the news of the strained relationship between the Kapoor brothers.

‘This is news to me. Thodi bahut naraazgi hogi,’ he said, according to Hindustan Times. He added, ‘I haven't been able to speak to Boney ji as I was busy shooting Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.’

Bazmee, who has also worked with Anil in many films such as ‘Pagalpanti’ (2019) feels: ‘No Entry (2005) was an important film. Agar uske sequel mein nahin hain toh naturally aadmi ko hurt hoga,’ reasons the 61-year-old, adding. ‘Boney ji must have had his reasons, too.’

Bazmee is optimistic about Boney and Anil Kapoor’s reconciliation. ‘They are brothers... Tomorrow they will meet and hug each other. They both love each other,’ he said.

What Boney said about Anil

Speaking with Zoom, Boney said, ‘Before I could tell my brother Anil about the No Entry sequel and the cast involved, he got angry as the news was already leaked. It was unfortunate that it was leaked. I know he wanted to be a part of the No Entry sequel, but there was no space. I wanted to explain why I did what I did’

Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh and Arjun Kapoor will feature in the follow-up to ‘No Entry,’ Boney confirmed.

The original stars won't feature in the new movie, said Boney Kapoor, adding, ‘That chapter is over (of the old star cast). Varun and Arjun are great friends. Their chemistry could come out in the story, and Diljit is massive today. He has a great fan following. I wanted to make it relevant in today’s time. That’s why I did this casting. In the process, my brother is still not talking properly. I hope it all gets sorted out soon. Let’s see.’
