‘Pathaan’: Miscreants create ruckus outside a theatre in Mumbai, wave flags and chant 'Jai Shri Ram'

Miscreants belonging to a right-wing outfit created a ruckus outside a cinema hall in Mumbai where Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Pathaan’ was being screened on Sunday.

The protesters couldn’t reach inside the theatre due to security, but they created a ruckus outside by damaging posters. They were carrying saffron flags and they allegedly chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’. Nine people have been arrested in connection with this case.

'Pathaan' has been facing backlash over its song 'Besharam Rang' that features Deepika in an orange bikni. A section of people allege the song hurts the Hindu sentiments. 

SRK’s comeback film has received a tremendous response from the audience. The film entered the Rs 100 crore club on its opening day and is ruling the box office ever since.

In four days, the Siddharth Anand directorial collected approximately Rs 429 crore gross worldwide. It earned Rs 265 crore domestically, while Rs 164 crore from overseas, according to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

‘Pathaan’ is the fastest Hindi film to breach the Rs 300 crore mark worldwide, becoming the first Hindi film to collect over Rs 300 crore gross on its opening weekend.
