The death of noted playback singer Krishnakumar Kunnath, popularly known as KK, has left everyone grieving and it is a huge loss to the Indian music industry. From politicians to celebrities condolences poured in on social media. The tributes were led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi who expressed condolences to KK's family and friends on Twitter and said that he will always be remembered through his songs.
'Saddened by the untimely demise of noted singer Krishnakumar Kunnath popularly known as KK. His songs reflected a wide range of emotions as struck a chord with people of all age groups. We will always remember him through his songs. Condolences to his family and fans. Om Shanti,' PM Modi tweeted.
Actor Akshay Kumar mourned the singer's death and tweeted, 'Extremely sad and shocked to know of the sad demise of KK. What a loss! Om Shanti.'
Ranveer Singh and Vicky Kaushal shared the singer's picture on their Instagram Stories. Ranveer added a broken heart emoji, while Vicky thanked KK for his evergreen songs and said that his magical voice will live on forever.
Ajay Devgn, for whom KK sang in many films, said, 'It seems so ominous. The news of KK’s death that too right after a live performance is terrible. He sang for films I was associated with, so his loss seems that much more personal. RIP #KrishnakumarKunnath. Prayers & condolences to his family.'
Kangana Ranaut also reacted to the heartbreaking news in her Instagram Stories and wrote, 'Extremely schocked and sad by the passing away of renowned singer KK. Om Shanti.'

Shreya Ghoshal, who sang several songs with KK, shared a picture of the singer in her Instagram post and said that she was absolutely 'numb.'
'I am unable to wrap my head around this news. Numb. #KK Why! This is too hard to accept! Heart is shattered in pieces. One of the most humble, gentle, pure human being I have met in my life. God’s dear child was sent to spread love in the lives of millions of fans, friends and colleagues. Now God needed him back? So soon?! Cruel!! Cant imagine what his family is going through. Heartbroken music composer Vishal Dadlani wrote that his 'tears won't stop.'
'What a guy he was. What a voice, what a heart, what a human being. #KK is forever!!!,' Dadlani tweeted.
Other celebrities like singers Sonu Nigam, Harshdeep Kaur, Pritam, Mohit Chauhan, actor Munmun Dutta, filmmaker Srijit Mukerji, cricketer Virender Sehwag, have also expressed shock over eminent singer's demise.
KK died after suffering a massive heart attack, hours after his concert in Kolkata on Tuesday.
