Mom-to-be Deepika Padukone looked stunning at the Kalki 2898 AD pre-release event in Mumbai. A viral clip from the event shows lead actor Prabhas and veteran star Amitabh Bachchan rushing to assist Deepika off the stage. Prabhas reached her first, prompting Big B to tease him for beating him to it, creating a hilarious moment.

Deepika Padukone was left in splits as Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan engaged in playful banter because of her. Amitabh even jokingly hit Prabhas and said, ‘oye.’ Interestingly, in the Nag Ashwin directorial, Amitabh's character protects Deepika, while Prabhas plays a top hunter on a mission to capture her.

Meanwhile, Big B bought the first ticket for the highly-anticipated film at the pre-release event and presented it as a gift to Kamal Haasan. Producer C. Aswani Dutt handed the ticket to Amitabh on stage, who paid Rs 500 for it and praised Aswani for his support throughout the shoot.

Amitabh touched Aswani Dutt’s feet, calling him ‘the most simple and humble human being’ he’s ever met. He praised Dutt’s dedication, saying, ‘Every time you are on set, he is the first person there. He is at the airport to receive you. Whenever we are doing something risky, he always ensures precautions are taken. Nobody thinks like this. Thank you so much, sir.’

More about the film

The trailer for ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ directed by Nag Ashwin, has exceeded expectations. The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani. A prophecy reveals that a child, carried by Deepika Padukone’s character, will overthrow him. To protect his reign, the king places a bounty on her head. Prabhas’ character, Bhairava, a top hunter, believes it is his destiny to capture her, while Amitabh Bachchan’s Ashwatthama aims to protect her. The trailer concludes with a glimpse of Kamal Haasan, heightening the anticipation.
