Leilani, former Miss Barbados and now YouTuber, has shared a new video alleging that Priyanka Chopra’s Miss World 2000 win was ‘rigged and she has detailed the ways in which the actor was ‘favoured' at the pageant.

In the video, she first talks about the latest controversy around Miss USA 2022 which seems to hint that the show may have been rigged. She highlighted how people are being fired and a probe is underway in the matter.

Leilani said that this reminds her of her own experience at Miss World 2000. She said that Miss World 1999 was from India, and India's Zee TV was one of the sponsors of the show in those years.

‘I literally went through the same thing at Miss World. I was Miss Barbados, and the year I went, Miss India won. Mind you, Miss India had won the previous year (Yukta Mookhey), the sponsor was also ZeeTV, and Indian cable station. Our sashes had ZeeTV on top and then the names of our countries. This is very familiar to me,’ she said in the video.

She also alleged that Priyanka was favoured during the pageant as her gowns were better made, she got food in her own room, and large pictures of hers were printed in newspapers. She also mentioned that Priyanka was allowed to wear a sarong during a swimsuit competition while others were not.

She also said that personally she found Priyanka ‘unlikeable’.

‘My only problem with Priyanka is that getting to know her in the pageant, she was just unlikeable. And she is Meghan Markle's best friend so go figure,’ she said.

Priyanka ventured into acting after her 2000 Miss World win and soon became one of its most popular stars. She is now married to US singer-actor Nick Jonas and they are parents to daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
