R Madhavan has reacted after being brutally trolled on social media for his remark on Indian Space Research Organisation and their Mars Orbiter Mission. During a promotional event, the actor had claimed that ISRO used the Panchang, the Hindu calendar, to launch a rocket into space for its Mars mission.
On Sunday, the actor took to Twitter and said that it was 'very ignorant' of him and he deserved being trolled for calling the Almanac the 'Panchang' in Tamil.
'I deserve this for calling the Almanac the “Panchang” in Tamil. Very ignorant of me.Though this cannot take away for the fact that what was achieved with just 2 engines by us in the Mars Mission.A record by itself. @NambiNOfficial Vikas engine is a rockstar,' he tweeted.
R Madhavan's directorial debut 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect' is all set to release in theatres on July 1. The biopic on former scientist and aerospace engineer of ISRO, Nambi Narayanan, stars R Madhavan in the lead role. It has also been written and produced by him.
