On the eve of Rajesh Khanna's 79th birth anniversary, actor-producer Nikhil Dwivedi gave the fans of legendary Bollywood star a special gift.
Nikhil announced a biopic on Hindi cinema’s original superstar, and said he is in talks with filmmaker Farah Khan to helm the project.
For the movie, Nikhil Dwivedi has acquired the rights of Gautam Chintamani’s bestselling book, 'Dark Star: The Loneliness Of Being Rajesh Khanna'.
Nikhil Dwivedi says that the biopic is meant to capture Rajesh Khanna’s personality and achievements and it’s not something that he intends to do behind the back. He added, the film won't be something that thrives on controversies and sensationalism.
Rajesh Khanna entered films with Chetan Anand directorial 'Aakhri Khat' in 1966. He soon shot to superstardom and went on to deliver blockbusters like Aradhana, Ittefaq, Sachaa Jhutha, Kati Patang, Aan Milo Sajna, Anand, Dushman, Amar Prem, Bawarchi, Daag, Namak Haraam and many more.
