Rajkumar Rao is one of the most successful and acclaimed actors in Bollywood today. He has always been open and vocal about his struggles in Bollywood. He recently revealed that the rejections he faced in the past were mainly due to his looks.
Talking at an event the actor said that he might not be the most good-looking man but it was filmmaker Dibakar Banerjee who selected him because of his talent instead of his looks. 'There was a time when I would never get to audition for hero’s role. I was told to audition for his friend’s role', the actor said.
In the past, Rajkumar had shared some of his bizarre experiences during the auditions. He once said that he was rejected for not being tall enough, someone even rejected him due to the shape of his eyebrows.
On the work front, Rajkumar will next feature in Netflix’s 'Monica, O My Darling'. The film will start streaming from November 11. He will also feature in 'Mr And Mrs Mahi' alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
