Actors Rajkummar Rao, who recently celebrated his first anniversary, has spoken about Patralekha putting sindoor on him during their wedding.

The ‘Badhaai Do’ actor said that it was his idea to do it.

Speaking on the show ‘Social Media Star with Janice’, he said, ‘I felt ki why should I only do it to her, unhe bhi lagana chahiye mereko (she should also put on me).’

Earlier, in an interview with News18, he said, ‘I didn’t really read all the comments but I know a lot many people picked it up and a lot of articles were being written, in a good way. People appreciated that and it was something that was very impulsive. None of us planned it.’

‘I am somebody who really believes in equality and will never see somebody below me. We both are equal and that’s how it should be. So, yeah, it was very impulsive and wasn’t planned. I am glad it happened and I am hoping that somewhere it stuck people’s hearts,’ Rajkummar added.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao was last seen in the recently released film ‘Monica, O My Darling’. He will next be seen in Anubhav Sinha's ‘Bheed’ with Bhumi Pednekar and ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ alongside Janhvi Kapoor.
