Comedian Raju Srivastava, who was admitted at AIIMS hospital in New Delhi, passed away on Wednesday, September 21. He was one of the most loved stand-up comedians in the industry. Fans, celebrities as well as political leaders have expressed their condolences on his death. As per reports, a prayer meet will be held for him in Mumbai and Raju Srivastava's wife is expected to reach there tomorrow.
The prayer meeting will be held at Isckon in Juhu on September 25.
According to ETimes, Raju’s wife felt that it was made sense to held the meet in Mumbai as Raju worked there and it would enable his colleagues and well-wishers to pay their last respect.
A large number of actors, filmmakers and TV producers are expected to attend the prayer meet.
Raju Srivastava was hospitalised on August 10 after he complained of chest pain.
Raju Srivastava became a household name after he featured in ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.’ He has also starred in a few films in the 90s and 2000s. The comedian was a part of several other comedy shows, including ‘Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala,’ ‘Comedy Circus,’ and ‘Comedy Nights with Kapil.’
