'Rakht Brahmand': Ali Fazal lands role alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in Raj & DK's fantasy thriller

Ali Fazal is currently enjoying both his personal and professional life. Recently, he and his wife welcomed their daughter. 

Adding to his exciting upcoming projects, Ali Fazal has now secured the lead role in the series 'Rakht Brahmand,' where he stars opposite Samantha Ruth Prabhu. The series is directed by Rahi Anil Barve, and the visionary duo Raj & DK, who are known for their exceptional work in shows like 'The Family Man' and 'Guns & Gulaabs'.

According to sources close to the production, Ali was drawn to the project by its innovative storytelling and the directors' unique vision. He is set to commence filming in Mumbai next week. Despite his busy schedule, Ali is all geared up to juggle this commitment with other ongoing projects.

'The project is a marvellous vision of Raj & DK, it's definitely a step forward in its genre of fantasy drama. The cast has finally all been locked and the shoot it set to start next week. Ali will be shooting for the series through August while also completing small schedules of his other projects. The show can to him and the vision of the show was enough to get Ali excited to be part of the series. It's a really interesting part, something he has never done before both from character perspective and also genre wise,' a source close to the project revealed.

Ali Fazal is also part of Anurag Basu’s eagerly anticipated film 'Metro…In Dino,' alongside a star-studded cast including Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, and Pankaj Tripathi. Scheduled for release on November 29, 2024, the film promises to be a significant cinematic event.

Ali is also involved in 'Lahore 1947,' a project backed by Aamir Khan and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. It features talents like Preity Zinta and Sunny Deol. Additionally, he is set to star in Mani Ratnam’s 'Thug Life,' a South Indian period-action film.
