Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt named their daughter Raha; chosen by her `wonderful` grandmom Neetu Kapoor

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have finally announced the name of their baby girl. Alia shared a photo of herself, Ranbir, and their newborn on Instagram. A jersey with the name Raha written on it was seen in the background.

The ‘Raazi’ actor revealed that her ‘wise and wonderful’ grandmother Neetu Kapoor chose the name which has many beautiful meanings.

Explaining the meaning of the name, she wrote, ‘Raha, in its purest form means divine path, in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief, in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss.’

She added that true to her name, from the first moment they held Raha – they felt it ALL! 
Alia concluded the post by thanking her daughter for bringing their family to life and said it feels as though their lives have only just begun.

Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor welcomed their baby girl on November 6 at HN Reliance Hospital in Mumbai. Announcing the birth of their newborn, Alia and Ranbir shared a statement on Instagram that read, ‘And in the best news of our lives, our baby is here, and what a magical girl she is. We are officially bursting with love, blessed and obsessed parents, love love love Ranbir and Alia.’

The ‘Brahmastra’ actors tied the knot on April 14, 2022, after dating for years.
