Celebrating the success of his film ‘Animal’, Ranbir Kapoor received another honour last evening. The actor was awarded the ‘Maharashtrian of the Year’ at the 10th edition of Lokmat Maharashtrian of the Year Awards. Ranbir took the opportunity to share three rules that he lives by.
Ranbir shares Mukesh Ambani’s advice
As he received the honour, Ranbir shared the advice that he received from business tycoon Mukesh Ambani. He said, “My first goal is to continue delivering meaningful work. I took a lot of advice from Mukesh (Ambani) bhai, who told me, ‘Keep your head down and work. Don’t take success to your head and failure to your heart.”
Ranbir expresses love for Mumbai
Sharing his love for the city, where he was born and brought up, Ranbir Kapoor said that he is “proud to be a Mumbaikar”. "My second goal is to become a good person. I want to become a good son, a good father, a good husband, a brother and a friend. Most importantly, I want to be a good citizen. Third, and most important, I want to be a good citizen. I am very proud to be a Mumbaikar and such awards mean a lot to me,” he added.
Jeetendra remembers Rishi Kapoor
Veteran actor Jeetendra presented the award to Ranbir Kapoor and remembered late actor Rishi Kapoor on the occasion. He said, “l am very happy that this award is going to my dearest friend Rishi’s son. Today Ranbir has reached this stage because of his own hard work.”
Ranbir Kapoor’s work front
Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus ‘Love and War’, where he will share the screen with his Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. Apart from this, Ranbir also has Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ in the pipeline. He will essay the role of Lord Ram in this film. He was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's directorial ‘Animal’, which was one of the biggest hits of 2023.
