Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor surprised everyone when they announced their pregnancy last month. However, a section of netizens trolled the couple as they felt that it was a promotional gimmick for their upcoming film 'Brahmastra'
Ranbir Kapoor recently addressed the criticism they received and said that their personal life has nothing to do with their professional work.
In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, the actor said, ‘Alia and I, as a married couple, we thought that it would just seem right to tell the world because we felt it was the right time. We just wanted to share the joy and the news with the world and there was no other thought to it.’
When asked if he wished to join social media after the pregnancy announcement, he mentioned, ‘No, it didn’t compel me at all. I’m very happy at the place I’m at in my life. My stand is the same as it’s been in the last few years.’
On the work front, Ranbir will be seen in 'Shamshera' alongwith Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt. Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film is scheduled to release on July 22, 2022.
