Actor Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot in a Meitei ceremony in Imphal on November 29. Videos that capture the celebrations have surfaced online.

Lin Laishram adorned a stunning Manipuri bridal attire, wearing the Potloi, a cylindrical skirt crafted from robust fabric and bamboo. She was accompanied by her family members.

Hours after the wedding, Randeep took to social media to share the news with his fans. Sharing a series of pictures from the ceremony, he wrote, ‘From today, We are One’.

Earlier, Randeep Hooda spoke about getting married to Lin Laishram by following Manipuri tradition. He told ANI, ‘It feels very good. I felt that it’s only respectful to come and marry in the bride’s tradition. Though I have heard that in Meitei love marriages, the groom has to sit for a very long time. So, that’s something but I am looking forward to the ceremony and traditions. I want to experience my life partner’s culture. That’s why I am here.’

The actor added that he has only two wishes while embarking on a whole new phase of life – lots of kids and abundance. He said, ‘We have been talking about Manipuri culture for a long time. I am praying for a happy future filled with lots of kids and abundance. I love that we’re taking our friendship forward and becoming family.’

Randeep also shared details of how Lin and he met. ‘We have been friends for a very long time. We’ve had a great friendship since we met,’ he said.

‘We met at Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group called Motley. He was my senior there,’ Lin added.

Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram announced their wedding on Instagram. They shared a statement that read, ‘Taking a leaf out of the Mahabharata where Arjuna married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, We are getting married with the blessings of our families and friends. As we embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful.’
