Why Ranveer changed his last name
In a 2014 interview, Ranveer revealed that he dropped Bhavnani from his surname because he found it too long and it was 'not a saleable commodity.'
'It’s too long, too many syllables. Ranveer 'Singh' is short, crisp, and can stay in your memory easily. Ran-veer-Singh-Bhav-nani is too long. It’s not a saleable commodity,' he said.
Ranveer and Sonam are related
He is Sonam Kapoor Ahuja's second cousin, on the maternal side of her family.
Ranveer has own music label
Ranveer Singh launched his own music label, IncInk Records, in 2019 following his role as a rapper in Zoya Akhtar's 'Gully Boy.' He partnered with filmmaker Navzar Eranee for this project.
The actor, who is a huge fan of rap music, said that this is a 'passion project' for him, in an interview with Rolling Stones India.
'I love the music these artists are making; they’re like fire! They have so much to say and the world needs to hear them. And if I can do anything for them, I’m all for it!,' he said.

A die-hard fan of Govinda
Ranveer claimed to be a huge Govinda fan on Saavn's show 'Take 2' with Anupama and Rajeev in 2018. He said that accessories in his bedroom were arranged in the 'Raja Babu way.
'All the hats, all the shoes, all the sunglasses. Govinda is an all-time great, one of the most mesmeric talents to have ever graced the scene,' Ranveer said on the show.
He used to work at Starbucks
The actor revealed on 'Koffee With Karan' that he worked part-time as a server at Starbucks while pursuing his degree at Indiana University in the US. Ranveer said that he used to go out of his way to take care of his looks to impress girls who visited the cafe.
'I used to keep my hair (points to shoulder) that long, (they used to be) all tanned. I used to look distinctive. There were all these hot Jewish girls who used to take coffee to class every morning and they used to be like "Oh my God! the guy behind the counter is so exotic-looking. He's like such a dreamboat,' Ranveer said on the popular chat show 'Koffee With Karan' in 2013.
