Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh hit pause on his Germany concert to pay a powerful tribute to the legendary Ratan Tata, who passed away on October 9.

In a heartwarming video that went viral, Diljit took a moment to honour Tata’s unmatched legacy, sharing the profound lessons he’d drawn from the icon.

Though they never crossed paths, Diljit confessed that Ratan Tata had left an everlasting mark on his life—proving that legends don't need to meet you to make an impact!

‘You all know about Ratan Tata. He has passed away. This is my small tribute to him. Today, I feel it is important to take his name because his life — he has always worked hard. Whatever I have heard and read of him, I have never seen him speak anything wrong about anyone,’ Diljit said in Punjabi.

‘He has always worked hard in his life, did good work, was helpful. This is life, this is how one should be. If there is one thing we can learn from his life, it is that we should work hard, think positive, be helpful and live life to its fullest,’ the actor-singer added.

Ratan Tata passed away on the night of October 9. He had been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital on Monday following a sudden drop in blood pressure and had been in critical condition in the ICU. The news of his passing was confirmed late Wednesday. Renowned for his visionary leadership that took Tata Group to new heights and his philanthropic efforts, Ratan Tata was a beloved figure across India.

While his connection with Bollywood was limited to co-producing the film Aetbaar with Amitabh Bachchan and attending events with Bollywood stars, many in the industry remembered him fondly after the news of his passing. Celebrities like Anushka Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Rohit Shetty, Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, and Varun Dhawan, among others, paid tribute to the iconic industrialist.

In a mark of respect, Ajay Devgn also postponed promotional activities for his upcoming film Singham Again following Ratan Tata's death.
