Raveena Tandon attacked over rash driving in Mumbai, video goes viral on social media

Actor Raveena Tandon was attacked by a mob in Mumbai’s Bandra. The actor and her driver have been been accused of rash driving and assault. The shocking incident was captured on camera and a video of the same has gone viral on social media.  

Raveena Tandon attacked 

Raveena Tandon allegedly abused and assaulted some women late last night after which the actor was attacked by a mob. In the viral video, Raveena Tandon can be heard pleading with a mob to not ‘hit her’.  

What's in the viral video?

The video shows the actor surrounded by some people. The alleged victims can be seen calling police, while one particular woman is heard accusing the actor of assault. “My nose is bleeding. She (Raveena) assaulted me,” shouted a woman. Another can be heard saying, “You (Raveena) have assaulted my mother.” The actor then went on to request the people to not record videos. She requested the mob to not hit her. She said, “Don’t push. Please don’t hit me.” 

Later, one of the alleged victim claimed that Raveena was drunk and tried defending her driver and assaulted his mother. The man claimed that his mother has suffered injuries due to Raveena’s assault.  On the other hand, the actor is yet to issue a statement on the entire matter. 

No complaint filed: Report

Meanwhile, some reports suggest that Raveena’s car did not touch anyone. A Times of India report said that no complaint has been filed in the case. The report quoted DCP Raj Tilak as saying, “Raveena Tandon’s driver was taking a reverse to park the car, and around that time, the other party was passing by and started shouting ‘gaadi chala rahe hai’ (they are running over us). And nothing happened, the car has not even brushed against any of them. They started fighting and Raveena also came out and she started to fight with them.”
